Jamal Khan is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant who has been in the industry for over 27 years helping HNW clients with their tax matters. He has previously worked for companies such as Sony Corporation and Deloitte.

Jamal has been providing specialist tax planning advice to high net worth individuals (resident and non-resident), corporation and is well reputed for structuring innovate solutions for his clients. Jamal has an extensive network of professionals such as accountants and solicitors who work with him for their client’s tax planning requirements.

Jamal also specialises in tax investigation, tribunal representation, out of court settlement and ADR.

Jamal has been a speaker at various events such as seminars, TV shows and specialist panels.

Jamal is a natural entrepreneur and has multiple business interests in real estate sector as well as the technology industry to include software development & artificial intelligence.

Qualifications:HM Inspector of Taxes, Professional Studies in Taxation BA (Hons), BSc (Hons)

Mike trained and qualified as an HMRC Inspector of taxes working in HMRC’s Wealthy and Mid-sized Business Compliance directorate. He managed enquiries into both wealthy individuals and corporates, dealing with onshore and offshore tax issues. He was also a strategic leader in HMRC’s Anti-money Laundering Supervision team dealing with national risk and supporting high profile cases.

Mike joins from a Top 6 accountancy practice where he led the northern tax-dispute team for a number of years, supporting clients with all types of HMRC enquiry, investigation and disclosure, including both Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9 enquiries.

Mike draws on his wealth of HMRC experience to move disputes forwards, focused on what his clients are hoping to achieve. This maintained focus and intimate knowledge of HMRC processes has proved particularly useful in resolving even the most entrenched dispute.

Dave is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Senior Ex-HMRC officer with over 30 years of experience in the tax industry; 19 years with HMRC where he worked as a Senior Tax Inspector and the rest on the private client side working with Top 10 firms.

Dave has used his knowledge and experience to help clients with HMRC investigation including several complex and technical Code of Practice 8, Code of Practice 9 cases and Fraud Investigation cases. Dave has also helped various clients being pursued by HMRC Debt Management and those that require assistance in making voluntary disclosures.

Dave also has experience of providing expert witness statements in tax evasion cases and matrimonial disputes. Dave has represented clients in Tribunal (from First-tier to Court of Appeal) involving technical and complex tax disputes.

Dave is a co-author of a 900-page book on Employment Law and also regularly writes for professional press and speaks at various seminars and webinars.

Peter is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 34 years of experience in helping clients with tax & accountancy matters. He is one of the founding members of the firm and also has experience of working for Ernst & Young (Top 4 firm).

Peter has extensive and varied commercial and tax knowledge, Over the years, he has leveraged upon his skills, experience and knowledge to help a large number of clients in all aspects of their businesses. His advice and experience has helped many businesses grow and achieve their objectives.

Peter lives with his partner and twin children in Bishop’s Stortford. In his spare time, he likes to visit the countryside to enjoy nature and solitude. He is particularly fond of visiting the Lake District.

Imad has used his specialist negotiation skill to close many complex cases such as Code of Practice 8, Code of Practice 9 enquiries, Fraud Investigations & Complex Disclosure cases. He has also had a lot of success in closing cases out of court and achieving significant tax savings for his clients.

Imad also has extensive experience in assisting clients with disclosures of undeclared income & gains under various HMRC facilities such as Worldwide Disclosure Facility and Let Property Campaign.

Phillip is a senior Ex-HMRC Inspector and Advocate who has been in the tax industry for over 30 years. He has 17 years of experience of working with HMRC where he was involved in carrying out complex/technical fraud investigations and compliance enquiries. He has also worked in Solicitor’s office as an Advocate representing HMRC in the tax tribunal. 

Since then, he has been working in private practice where he has been representing client’s in complex VAT enquiries and fraud cases such including Code of Practice 8 (COP8) and Code of Practice 9 (COP9) enquiries as well as MTIC fraud cases. Phillip has experience of working on major litigation cases in relation to s.994 of the Companies Act. He has worked for overseas governments in the past where he has helped them assess tax losses 

Phillip also has experience of advising clients on cases involving forensic investigation work.

Dane joined Churchill Tax Advisers in April 2021 and has extensive experience in dealing with all types of tax disputes, successfully negotiating with HMRC on behalf of clients who are facing a variety of issues with HMRC.

Dane started his career in tax with HMRC and is therefore well equipped to understand the nature of an enquiry and establish the most appropriate strategy to progress matters. Dane completed his Inspector of Taxes training at HMRC, during which time he worked in the Large Business unit dealing with a variety of complex Corporation Tax Issues. He then became a Customer Compliance Manager in the High Net Worth Unit, undertaking individual Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax enquiries. Dane was also the technical specialist for Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings.

After leaving HMRC Dane continued his career in tax disputes with Grant Thornton, assisting clients with a variety of enquiries including Code of Practice 9, National Minimum Wage, and Residence and Domicile issues. Dane also helped those clients facing financial difficulties during the pandemic by agreeing Time To Pay arrangements with HMRC’s Debt Management team.

Tanveer has extensive experience of representing client in Tribunal on various matters.  He has dealt with a number of cases involving Sch 36 FA 2008 information powers, Sch 27 Penalties FA 2007, Sch 55 FA 2009 and S63 VAT Act 1994 penalties.

Clive has over 30 years’ experience in advising private clients and trustees on tax planning and tax mitigation, having working with a range of firms including Big 4 accountancy firms and an offshore trustee in the Channel Islands. Clive’s main specialism is advising non-UK domiciled clients with offshore structuring and the associated anti-avoidance provisions, as well as advising on capital taxes matters more widely and agreeing complex investigations/ disclosures with HMRC.

Clive is a member of CIOT’s Private Client Tax Committee as well as CIOT’s Management of Taxes Committee.

Jen followed a chemistry background with Unilever and with overseas travel my career path changed and I became PA to the Managing Director of a large Perfumery House. This led to her becoming the HR Manager within the same company. After several years in this role, Jen became Office Manager for a start-up Company which had acquired four compounds following the merger of Smith Kline Beecham and Glaxo. The company grew as did my role until it was taken over in 2012.

This is when I joined Morris Wheeler and I now utilise the office skills gained during my previous roles in my role at Morris Wheeler completing clients bookkeeping and VAT returns.

I am married with two sons and two grand-daughters and have a wide range of interests including being secretary and scorer at our local Cricket Club.
